CHIPPEWA CHARGER DANCE TEAM
Are you interested in dancing in the Mounds View School District?
Then join the Chippewa Middle School Charger Dance Team to learn the basics of Dance Team and what it is all about! Learn to correctly kick, turn, jump and leap in the style of Dance Team that will help build confidence, promote teamwork and increase flexibility. This team will help to prepare and give you the knowledge to tryout for the High School Team! You will learn a routine during your practices which you will perform at a MVHS Varsity Home Football Game on Friday 10/9/26.
CDT is open to all dancers 6-8th grade that attend Chippewa Middle School.
We do NOT have tryouts. If you are interested you can participate!
Our only requirement is that you register for our team. This will be the teams 4th year and we are ready to be bigger and better than ever!

Maddie Thyren
Head Coach
Hi I’m Maddie Thyren! I have been dancing since I was four years old, five of those being on the Mounds View High School Dance Team. I graduated high school in 2025 and am a Sophomore at the University of Minnesota.
This will be my second year coaching dance team. I am so excited for our season to begin and to work with everyone!
Jasmine Raja

Hi my name is Jasmine! I have danced a total of 14 years, spending 14 years dancing at QC Dance in Blaine, and 5 years on the Mounds View Viewettes Dance Team and a captain for 2 years. I graduated from Mounds View in 2024 and just completed my Sophomore year at the University of Minnesota -
Twin Cities.
I'm excited to return to Chippewa as a Coach and work with familiar faces as well as new ones!

Hi my name is Anna! I have been dancing since I was 5 years old. I spent 10 years dancing at Metro Dance Center and 2 years on the Mounds View Viewettes Dance Team and was a captain for 1 year. I was also on the Mounds View Performance Team for 4 years! I am currently a Freshman at Bethel University and I am also on the Dance Team.
I’m so excited to be coaching this year and to get to know all of you!
