ABOUT:

Join us for the SECOND season of the Junior Viewettes Dance Team coached by veteran MVDT Coaches Nikki Sharpe & Elle Wiest. This new program is open to students in 4th, 5th & 6th grade for the 2025-2026 school year. Practices will run November - January. As a team we will be working on dance skills, learning a routine, and finishing up the season performing at the Mounds View High School Viewettes Dance Team Winterfest Invitational on Saturday January 24th, 2026 at MVHS. You will also be working with current members of the Viewettes Dance Team. We are so excited for this new program!

The Jr. Viewettes is open to ALL dancers 4th-6th grade that are future students of Mounds View High School. We do NOT have tryouts. If you are interested you can participate! Our only requirement is that you register for our team. Registration is through Mounds View Community Ed.

 

The cost of registration includes instruction & team t-shirt.

COACHES:

NIKKI SHARPE:

Nikki is starting her 10th year coaching and 4th year with MVDT. She has been a dancer since she was 7 years old. Nikki started at studio until she joined the Eastview LDT and won 2 State Championship titles. After high school, Nikki was on her college dance team at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire for 3 years and ran her own dance program for 4 years. After college she competed internationally for 3 years. Outside of dance Nikki works as a school based mental health therapist and spends time with her dog Arlo!

ELLE WIEST:

Elle started dancing at the age of 3. She studied jazz, tap, ballet, and lyrical dance and began competing at 8 years old. Elle joined the Viewettes Dance Team and Performance Team when she was a freshman at Mound View. As a senior, Elle became a captain of the Viewettes. After graduating high school, Elle went on to Hamline University. It was there that she studied Psychology and Elementary Education. When Hamline did not have a dance team, Elle formed a team with her friends where they performed at school events. Since graduation, Elle has earned her Masters in Teaching and teaches first grade in the Mounds View district. This is Elle’s 7th year coaching the Viewettes and she cannot wait for the new season to start!
